Alisha Friday
Visual Arts – Painter and Graphic Designer.
Alisha Friday is a freelance visual artist from Stoke on-Trent. She moved to Liverpool to study Fine Art at Liverpool John Moores University. Since graduating in 2016 Alisha has exhibited, produced commissioned artwork and worked as a community artist, running events and workshops for vulnerable and marginalised individuals. Alisha is currently the Project Facilitator at Bluecoat contemporary art centre.
Alisha’s own work includes illustration and portraiture. She specialises in oil paint, acrylic paint and digital art. She is a self-taught digital artist, and she has professional experience in logo, leaflet, poster and album cover design. As part of Kwanzaa Collective UK Alisha has created colouring book illustrations, posters, our logo and developed our brand guidelines.
Alisha’s work is often informed by race, identity and mental health, the latter informed by her own lived experience during her life as a young person and parent. Art has undoubtedly helped Alisha, and she is passionate about creating wellbeing spaces and ways to encourage people to talk more about their own mental health.
