Natalie Linh Bolderston

Literary Arts – Poet and Editor 


Natalie Linh Bolderston is an award-winning Staffordshire born Vietnamese- Chinese-British poet. In 2020, she received an Eric Gregory Award and co-won the Rebecca Swift Women Poets' Prize. In 2021, she was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem.


Her work has been featured in the poetry publication Smoke, and she was the recipient of the Felicia Hemans Prize for Lyrical Poetry in 2016, awarded by the Centre for New and International Writing. Her pamphlet, The Protection of Ghosts, is published with V. Press. She is now working on her first full-length collection.

Natalie studied English at the University of Liverpool and has worked as an Editorial Assistant in London and the Midlands. She is a former Editorial Assistant at Rowman & Littlefield International and an Assistant Editor at Sapere Books.


Since returning to Staffordshire, Natalie has been the Creative Future writer in residence for Stoke-on-Trent, seeing her host residency days and poetry writing workshops at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery and Drop City Books (LINK https://uk.bookshop.org/shop/dropcitybooks) .


As part of the Stoke centenary  100Books 100Years project Natalie completed a micro-residency in Stoke Library offering a Poetry of Community workshop and Writer Drop-in and Feedback sessions. She has facilitated workshops at Staffordshire university, The Mitchell Arts Centre and in schools around Staffordshire.
