Shanice Harris

Performing Arts – Dancer & Actor

Shanice Harris is a Staffordshire based dancer and actress. She studied performing arts before achieving a dance and community arts degree from Manchester Metropolitan university.  Shanice trained At Acting Mechanics – Amanda Andrews Agency. She is the Principal of Vibe Performing Arts School CIC.


Shanice has worked for the New Vic Theatre in the play ‘Waiting For’. She was part of the cast for Unite – It’s Not as Simple as Black and White, a New Vic Borderlines documentary drama funded by the Ministry for Housing Communities and Local Government’s Race, Faith and Hate Crime Fund. Created in conjunction with Port Vale FC Foundation, the play used real-life experiences and ideas from hundreds of local people. The production combined the power of sport and theatre with the aim of uniting communities and preventing discrimination and prejudice.


Shanice has been cast in short films such as Just say (kiln Productions) and has had numerous television and film credits including The Colour Room (Caspian Films); Ditch the blade (Staffordshire Police) and an Acme Whistles (Junction 15) advertisement working with the poetry of Gabriella Gay. 


Shanice has worked with a range of arts organisations in Stoke including Restoke. She has run several workshops for young people at The Mitchell Arts Centre. As part of Kwanzaa Collective UK, Shanice has worked alongside Caroline Muraldo of Muraldo DC to choreograph a solo dance for ‘Taking Up Space’, she has performed and led workshops. She was part of the creative team for ‘Our Future Hopes’ and has acted in several of Kwanzaa’s short film productions.
