Visual Arts – Multidisciplinary Artist and Filmmaker

Based in Stoke-on-Trent & Manchester, Vaishnavi Potdar, professionally known as Vapo, is a multidisciplinary artist whose work fuses visual storytelling, handcrafted creations, and inclusive community engagement. Her practice spans murals, prop and set design, face painting, textile arts, film and handmade creations.

A graduate of Staffordshire University’s Film Production programme, Vapo has served as Art Director and Production Assistant on short films including "Noodles", "7x7x7", and "Skate". Her debut film “Stay” was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, France in the International Artists Category.

Notable public projects include Garden Dreams—a rooftop community mural in Meir funded by the Big Green Fund.

She has facilitated art workshops for Kwanzaa Collective UK’s work as part of Six Towns Reloaded Carnival and the People's Parade, an event celebrating Stoke-on-Trent's centenary. Vapo is driven by a commitment to making art accessible, empowering, and celebratory of diverse stories.
